New leadership in Progressive Writers Association

KATHMANDU, April 10: The 10th national convention of Progressive Writers Association Nepal elected a new leadership with Matrika Pokharel as its chair.

The convention has unanimously elected 17 central office-bearers and 52 members in the committee and also nominated 70 national council members.


Among the elected in the committee are Raj Bahadur Kunwar (senior vice-president), Dr Bindu Sharma (female vice-president), Mishra Baijayanti, Roshan Janakpuri, Dr Krishna Raj Adhikari, Khem Thapaliya, Padma Prasad Sharma, Ram Prakash Puri and Puskar Raj Bhatta (provincial vice-presidents), said Election Committee Coordinator Hari Govidna Luitel.

RM Dangol is the general secretary while senior secretaries are Punya Gautam Biswas, Hom Shanker Bastola, Prakash Silwal, Satita Tiwaria and Shobha Dulal. Bijaya Raj Acharya is elected as treasurer in the committee. RSS
