KATHMANDU, Aug 7: Nepal confirmed qualification to the ICC Under-19 World Cup with a 29-run victory over Papua New Guinea on Sunday.
Nepal scored 277 losing 7 wickets in 50 overs and bowled out PNG for 248 in 50 overs.[break]
Earlier, Rajesh Pulami, Sagar Pun and Pradeep Airee each scored a half-century to help Nepal accumulate 277 runs for 7 wickets.
Rajesh scored 91 before running himself out on the last ball of Nepal´s innings. It was Rajesh´s first half-century in his career.
Sagar scored third half-century of the tournament while hard-hitting Pradeep scored his first in the event.
Earlier, Nepal won the toss and elected to bat first.
