NC won't take part in election sans consensus: Leader Singh

KATHMANDU, June 30: Nepali Congress General Secretary Prakasman Singh has said that his party would not participate in the elections to the Constituent Assembly announced by the government without forging political consensus.



Speaking at a programme in the Capital on Saturday, leader Singh stressed the need of forging consensus among the parties before going for the fresh CA elections.[break]



He said the CA elections announced in haste by Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai for November 22, this year holds no meaning.



The Prime Minister should immediately resign from the post to pave the way for the formation of the national consensus, said the NC General Secretary.
