NC, UML to launch joint protest against incumbent govt

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: A meeting between top leaders of two main opposition parties --Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML-- on Sunday decided to go for an agitation soon against the incumbent government to end ongoing political stalemate in the country.



The meeting held at the residence of UML leader Krishna Lal Maharjan at Balkumari, Lalitpur this afternoon also ruled out any possibility of agreement with the ruling UCPN (Maoist) for the time being.[break[



NC Vice-president Ram Chandra Paudel informed that top leaders of both the parties decided to launch joint agitation against the government to end the current political crisis.



Various top leaders of both the parties including NC President Shushil Koirala, Leader Sher Bahdur Deuba and Paudel, UML Chairman Jhalanath Khanal, leader Madhv Kumar Nepal, Bamdev Gautam and Ishwor Pokhrel were present in the meeting.
