KATHMANDU, Nov 18: Nepali Congress (NC) has yet to be informed about what is called decisive talks with the agitating Madhes-based political parties scheduled for today in the Capital, NC spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu said.

"The ruling parties have only created rumours about the talks. NC has yet to be informed about when and where the dialogue is to take place," Badu said.

Badu shared the information with media persons after emerging from the meeting of the NC office- bearers at the NC Parliamentary Party Office at Singha Durbar in the Capital today.

Reports came to the ground that the ruling and the main opposition parties would hold 'decisive' talks with the agitating groups, which are up in arms in the Southern plains, putting forth various demands including that of revision on the demarcation of provinces.

Meanwhile, the meeting demanded that the government should retain the bills related to the reconstruction authority tabled in the Parliament by the former NC-led government, Badu said.

Likewise, he said that the meeting also demanded that the government should continue the task initiated by the erstwhile NC-led government related to the determination of electoral constituencies and, the issues of inclusion and representation to genuinely address the agitation in the Tarai.

The meeting was also attended by NC acting president Ram Chandra Poudel, Senior Leader Sher Bahadur Deuba and general secretaries Prakash Man Singh and Krishna Sitaula. RSS
