Issuing a statement after a meeting of the NC parliamentary party Monday, NC said the constitution making process will hit a deadlock if the present trend continues.[break]
The party became serious over the matter as leaders of the Baidya faction have been obstructing discussions on issues related to constitution making, demanding reopening of the issues that have already been agreed upon.

Chairman of the CC Nilamber Acharya has warned of the possibility of missing the deadline set for the committee if the Maoist intra-party feud is allowed to spill over to the constitution making process.
“The intra-party rift within the largest political party naturally affects the constitution writing process, especially, because some of the reasons for the rift touch on the issues of constitution making and peace process,” said Acharya, at the Reporters’ Club Monday.
Acharya’s remarks referred to the recent move of the Baidya faction seeking discussions on issues already settled by the committees under the Constitutional Committee of the Constituent Assembly.
