KATHMANDU, Dec 29: Nepal Police have arrested three persons along with two guns looted during the Gen Z protest on September 9.
Acting on a special tip-off, Kathmandu District Police Range raided a private residence in Bafal of Nagarjun Municipality and apprehended three individuals.

The arrested have been identified as 32-year-old Bikash Shahi (Jhilke) of Dallu, Kathmandu Metropolitan City; 22-year-old Sahil Tiwari of Letang Municipality, Morang; and 33-year-old Jaswan Rai (Ashwin Rai) of Bafal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–13.
Police have recovered two CF-98 pistols (serial numbers CF 98-900003308237 and CF 98-900011108236), three magazines, two bullets and two boxes of ammunition from the arrestees. The individuals are currently under investigation.
The seizure comes in the aftermath of the recent Gen Z protests, during which over 1,200 firearms belonging to the Nepal Police and Armed Police Force were looted. Police have so far recovered around 735 such firearms.
Authorities have intensified efforts to track unaccounted weapons and ensure public safety.
