Medicines seized for non-compliance with standards

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: A team from the Maharajgunj Police Circle has confiscated medicines that were being distributed in breach of established standards. 



At Takshak Pharmacy, in Basundhara, Tokha Municipality–5, medications requiring a doctor's prescription for distribution were found to be sold unlawfully.

The confiscated items include 385 tablets of ' Spain', 750 tablets, 'Anticof', 100 tablets, 'Pregabalin', 200 capsules, 'Pregabalin LP', 100 capsules, 'Pregamer 75', said Inspector Laxman Devkota of the Maharajgunj Police. 


He stated that the pharmacy was run by 40-year-old Prakash Gautam from Khadbari Municipality–8, Sankhuwasabha. The Department of Drug Administration verified that the distribution of these medicines was against regulations.
