Late Sharma convicted of corruption charges

KATHMANDU, Oct 3:
Special Court (SC) on Wednesday convicted former minister late Rabindra Nath Sharma of embezzling Rs 22.7 million through unfair

means while he was in various positions.



The court has directed to seize Sharma´s three vehicles and land at various places to recover the embezzled amount. [break]



Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case against Sharma for embezzling Rs 49.5 million through unfair means while in various positions.



Shah who was the minister during former king Gyanendra Shah´s regime passed away some four years ago.
