Children faint due to heat wave, one dies in the plains



Five school children of Chandra Secondary School fainted during their class hours in Lahan of Siraha who are undergoing treatment at Siraha District hospital. Likewise,in Mahottari intense heat wave claimed one life while two others are undergoing treatment at Gaushala Primary Health Post.



Dahal rules out possibility of CPN's participation in Province 2 government



Chair of Communist Party of Nepal, Pushpa Kamal Dahal has ruled out the possibility of the party's participation in Province 2 government.  Meanwhile, Rastriya Janata Party Nepal’s presidium member, Rajendra Mahato said his party would not join the federal government as long as the central government agreed to amend the constitution on written proposal, its major agenda.   


Mayor initiates steps to upgrade Jumla airport, expand runway



Citing difficulties during take-off and landing, talks hoping to expand Jumla airport’s runway on both sides has started. Mayor Kanti Sejuwal of Chandannath municipality said that they had initiated talks to upgrade the airport and elongate the runway with representatives, ministries and departments.

Contractors shirking construction works recommended for punishment
