HLPCC, UDMF top leaders talks slated for today

KATHMANDU, Nov 15:  A talks between High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) and top leaders of agitating Madhesi morcha has been slated for today (Sunday).



A meeting of the HLPCC is underway in Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar for the preparation of the talks with Madhesi leaders.

According to United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) leader Lal Babu Raut, today’s talks has been slated for this afternoon in line with the Madhesi parties’ earlier demand of holding talks at top level of political leadership.



The UDMF has been organizing Tarai banda since last three months demanding change in the demarcation of federal states.



The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led HLPCC meeting being held at Baluwatar is currently discussing the agendas of the today’s meeting. The meeting is expected forge common point prior to holding talks with the Madhesi front.



Main opposition party Nepali Congress is also expected to participate in today’s meeting.
