Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, the host informed that altogether eight teams will take part in the tournament with the winner and the runner-up bagging Rs 300,000 and Rs 150,000, respectively.A division teams Tribhuvan Army Club, APF Club, Three Star Club, Manang Marshyangdi Club and Jhapa XI, host Regal Hetauda Report (Hetauda XI), Kanchanjungha of India and Bhutan's BRC Club are set to feature in the tournament.
Bishal Ghosh, vice-president of SMSF, informed that the tournament will cost around Rs 4 million.
Meanwhile, SMSF president, Bhesh Khadgi, and marketing manager of Colors, RajanThapa, signed an agreement of Rs 400,000 for sponsorship during the same program. Colors will also provide in-kind contributions worth Rs 700,000.
Similarly, Khadgi also signed another agreement of Rs 150,000 and in-kind support of around Rs 600,000 as a co-sponsorship with Sipradi Trading Pvt Ltd.
SMSF vice-president Ghosh said that the foundation wanted to immortalize late Bhomjan's contributions to the feild of sports by organizing the event.
Bhomjan was a member of Nepal Sports Journalists' Association (NSJF) and co-ordinator of NSJF's Hetauda chapter.
