KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Citizens Bank International Limited has been awarded by President Bidhya Devi Bhandari for its contribution in promotion and development of sports sector.
NMB Bank awarded 'Bank of the Year 2017'
President Bhandari handed over the award to Ganesh Raj Pokharel, the spokesperson for the bank, amid an event organized by the National Sports Council in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the bank said in a statement. The bank has been organizing a number of sports events like Citizens Interbank Futsal Tournament, Citizens Open Golf Tournament and Citizens Open Tennis Tournament, among others, the bank added in the statement.
The bank recently provided cash support of Rs 300,000 to the organizers of the 1st Prime Minister Cricket Cup. The bank has also provided financial support of Rs 1 million to Chitwan Tigers which is playing in the Everest Premier League (EPL).
