KATHMANDU, June 15: Portugal national football player and Real Madrid forward Christiano Ronaldo requested to support Nepal.
In a tweet, the football star who is also the Ballon d'Or world footballer of the year 2014, said, "Hello all! Positive thoughts for the people in Nepal. Portugal and Nepal together!."
Earlier, there had been rumors that Ronaldo made a $7 million donation towards its earthquake relief effort in Nepal, which turned out to be false.
However, he been requesting to support the Nepali children affected by the earthquake. "Help the children affected by #NepalQuake by supporting @SavetheChildren's relief efforts: http://bit.ly/1DDZ19Y, " he had tweeted on April 28.
The Real Madrid star is the Save the Children's Global Artist Ambassador.
