KATHMANDU, March 23: The Dry Port Customs Office in Birgunj has collected revenue of Rs 32.32 billion in the first eight months of the current fiscal year 2024/25.
The Department of Customs had set a target of collecting Rs 60.04 billion in revenue for the office over the course of the year.

According to Dhan Bahadur Baruwal, the chief customs officer, 92 percent of the monthly revenue target has been collected in the last two months of the current fiscal year.
The Customs Office collected revenue of Rs 3.75 billion in mid-August, R 4.64 billion in mid-September, Rs 4.36 billion in mid-October, and Rs 3.79 billion in mid-November. Similarly, Rs 3.22 billion was collected in mid-December, Rs 3.56 billion in mid-January, Rs 4.29 billion in mid-February, and Rs 4.68 billion in mid-March.
The highest revenue collection in the current fiscal year's first eight months was in mid-March.
