Laying Down a Heavy Burden: 794 women seek justice for conflict-era sexual violence

Nearly 800 women, victims of sexual violence during Nepal's conflict, have officially submitted their complaints to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission after years of waiting. Despite the establishment of the commissions to address such violations, the process has been stalled due to unappointed officials. Led by activist Devi Khadka, these women have now shared their painful stories, seeking justice for their suffering.
