BIRATNAGAR, Dec 5: Biratnagar businessmen have demanded that the government open Kimthanka border to reduce Nepal's dependency on business with India.

Kimthanka border which is 323 kilometers from Biratanagar will be an easy route to import and export goods for businessmen, Morang Industry Association Chairman Shiva Shankar Agrawal said.He also informed that the government should intensify maintenance and blacktopping of around 66 kilometers further can easily connect Biratnagar to Kimthanka.

Businessmen stressed that Kimthanka can be another lucrative option as it near to Chinese business city Shigatse.

"There are less snowfall and landslides in comparison to other Chinese borders," Agrawal added.
