LUMBINI, Jan 31: Rastriya Janamukti Party unveiled its election manifesto for the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5.
The manifesto was made public by organising a press conference at the party’s district office in Mangalapur on Thursday.
The manifesto prioritises issues including federalism, the form of governance, industrial development and employment, corruption control as well as education and health.

It declares corruption as treason and emphasises a fully proportional representation electoral system. It also commits to providing health insurance to all Nepalis and to taking ownership of manifestoes issued in previous elections.
On the occasion, Party Chairperson Keshav Bahadur Thapa Suryabanshi said that the party has been running an anti-corruption campaign since its establishment, stressing the need to ensure life imprisonment for those involved in corruption.
He opined that the party believes corruption control and good governance are key objectives of the Gen Z movement and expressed the view that the country could move forward on the path of prosperity if stern action is taken against corruption.
Similarly, General Secretary Top Aslami pointed out the need for broader involvement to achieve further progress while safeguarding the gains of the constitution.
He emphasised the need to form a powerful commission and said the state should be restructured based on the commission’s recommendations.
Party Central Secretary Mojib Ali shared that the party has 17 candidates across the country, including 10 in Lumbini Province, and 12 candidates in the proportional representation (PR) category.
