Rajendra netted in the 33rd, 59th and 68th minute for APF after Rup Kumar Lama netted the opener and Sudip Shikhrakar scored the last goal. Rup Kumar gave lead to the departmental team as early as in the third minute and Sudip sealed victory by scoring a goal one minute from time.
Rajendra was later declared the man-of-the-match for his hat-trick. Morang XI will take on Rupandehi XI in the second semifinal to be played on Monday.
