KATHMANDU, April 8: A massive fire on Friday destroyed around 125 houses and cowsheds in Kushwaha of Kaplivastu, rendering around 360 locals homeless.
A preliminary investigation by police showed that 75 houses and 50 cowsheds were destroyed in the fire in Kushwaha VDC 1 and 2.

Area Police Office Krishnanagar informed that the fire had started from the house of Ladhai Raidar and spread across the village.
It is estimated that property worth Rs 10 million was gutted, said DSP Bishnu Kumar KC, chief of Kapilvastu District Police Office.
