Spokesperson of Rautahat Police Rajendra Pokharel said 11 cops including SP Tribhuvan Sah got injured after protesters pelted stones at the law enforcement agency.Police intervened after agitators obstructed road by burning tires. Police fired four rounds of bullets in air and lobbed eight shells of teargas canisters to maintain order during clash.
UDMF cadres took to streets since early this morning after the front decided to amplify the ongoing protest on Friday.
Fire engine vandalized
Meanwhile, protesters vandalized a fire engine. They hurled stones at the fire engine to smash its front windshield. Driver got injured in the incident.
