KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Nepal APF School, Malpi and Nepal Don Bosco School won their respective matches on Sunday in the 17th Fr Moran Memorial Invitational Inter-school Football Tournament in the match held at Godavari. APF thumped Vidya Sagar 6-0. Birendra Budha scored five goals for the winning team while Gautam Raj Shrestha netted other.
Malpi beat Kathmandu University High School 2-0. Pramesh Thapa and Uresh Thapa scored one each for Malpi. Don Bosco defeated Green Land 3-0 with a goal each from Bikash Gole, Ayush Khadka and Avishek Byanjankar. [break]
South Asian Karate from Nov 28
KATHMANDU: Nepal Gojurio Karate Do Association is organizing the First South Asian Karate Championship from November 28 to December 1 at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. The tournament will feature karatekas from all eight South Asian countries -- India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and the host Nepal, according to Chandra Prakash Gharti Magar, the association´s president.
The players will vie for 50 gold and silver medals each and 100 bronze medals.
