Speaking at an interaction organized by Reporters Club Nepal in the capital today, leader Khand said, "the next government will be formed under the leadership of newly elected NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba," reasoning that the government will not be strong unless it is formed by the biggest party.
Khand further said that the newly elected NC president Deuba will become the parliamentary leader of the party and then the prime minister, too, despite voices arising for 'one person, one post' within the party.
Underling the need to form a national consensus government for the development of the country, he expressed his belief that Prime Minister KP Sharman Oli will step down, clearing the way for a national consensus government.
He categorically stated that the NC will not join the current government.
