PARSA, June 11: Armed Police Force personnel in Parsa have seized goods worth over Rs 1.37 million that were reportedly smuggled into Nepal, evading customs.
According to APF Parsa spokesperson Devendra Bahadur Singh, clothing worth Rs 770,500 was recovered from a warehouse in Bajrang, Birgunj-10.
Illegal goods imported from India seized
The items were allegedly smuggled from India by Dheeraj Rauniyar. Additionally, a BR05U 4530-numbered Indian Super Splendor motorcycle valued at around Rs 150,000 was confiscated.
The seized goods and vehicle have been handed over to the Birgunj Customs Office.
In other operations, security personnel recovered clothing and spices worth Rs 248,101 from border points in Birgunj-10 and 16. On the same day, grocery items valued at Rs 23,380 being transported via an Indian motorcycle (BR22U 1432) through Bindabasini Rural Municipality were also seized.
