DAILEKH, Dec 2: CPN-UML has secured victory in the position of chairperson of Mahabu Rural Municipality in Dailekh.
UML candidate Jung Bahadur Shahi was elected with 3,127 votes. His nearest contender Jhalak Bhandari of the Nepali Congress (NC) secured 2,675 votes.
Similarly, Jang Bahadur Baral of the CPN (Maoist Centre) received 842 votes and Prakash Kumar Buda of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) secured 112 votes. Previously, the NC had won in this municipality.
