Minister Shrestha further viewed the urgency of wider discussion with stakeholders on the policy draft. Quality energy supply, energy blending, increase in domestic use of electricity, climate change impact, loss and damage, and carbon trade were some of the essential issues to be considered during the policy debate, according to him.

Minister Shrestha reminded that the policy should be visionary because it guides the forthcoming laws in the energy sector.
