Police open fire to take drug dealers under control in Rupandehi

The police shared that three youths travelling on a motorcycle with the Indian registered number plate were held on their way to Chhipagadh from Kothawa in the district.

LUMBINI, April 7: The Nepal Police personnel opened fire in Rupandehi district last night to nab three suspected drug traffickers. 



The police shared that three youths travelling on a motorcycle with the Indian registered number plate were held on their way to Chhipagadh from Kothawa in the district.

Police stated that Bishal Yadav of Rohini Rural Municipality-2 in the district and two Indian nationals, Arun Kumar and Vinay Pandey, from Maharajgunj district of Bihar State, India, were taken under control.


The youths were held by the police personnel deployed from the Narcotics Control Bureau, Bhairahawa and the District Police Office, Rupandehi.   


Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Krishna Kumar Chand confirmed that the youths were held with some banned narcotics, including an equal 1,100 ampoules of Phenergan, Diazepam and Buprenorphine.


Bishal Yadav, who sustained leg injuries in police firing, is being treated at Bhim Hospital.
