Meeting of NC top leaders to be held in afternoon

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: The Nepali Congress (NC) is set to formulate an official opinion on various bills presented in Parliament.

A meeting of office bearers and former office bearers has been called by NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba in the afternoon. The meeting is scheduled to be held at 4 pm at President Deuba's residence in Budhanilkantha. Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel said that the meeting will hold discussion on the issue of expediting the processing of bills submitted to the parliament and decide on an official opinion.

The meeting will focus on discussion related to the difficulties encountered in the implementation of federalism and their solutions, as well as the progress made in the convention of the fraternal organization to be held by mid-April. After institutional decisions on all these issues, the meeting will provide necessary instructions to all concerned.

Chief Secretary Paudel said that the meeting will also discuss the passage of ordinances recently introduced by the current government through parliament. The six ordinances issued by President Ram Chandra Paudel on the government's recommendation have not advanced to the parliamentary process.
