KATHMANDU, July 11: Gaining control over the websites of Office of President and Nepal Scouts, hackers have expressed wrath over Nepal’s politics.
They have vented their ire over lawmakers for delay in promulgation of the new statute and over the government for failing to address minimal needs of people.
Hackers took control over http://www.presidentofnepal.gov.np of Office of President and http://nepalscouts.org.np of Nepal Scouts and pasted their messages.
“It has been more than eight years that our country has been politically unstable,” the message was written at the hacked website of Nepal Scouts, “You 601 Veda’s (Sheep) were given the responsibility to bring constitution in time and develop Nepal as soon as possible. But, instead of fulfilling the needs of common people, you veda’s are still busy filling your own pocket and achieving personal benefits.”
It’s punishable by law to hack any website, but the hackers have warned the government to punish it.
“Is our government really asleep? If our government still shows such inactivity than we are always here to punish you,” the message further reads.
