KATHMANDU, Jan 19: A couple was found dead in their rented room at Changathali in Mahalaxmi Municipality-7 on Monday evening.
According to police, 32-year-old Sagar Pokharel, a resident of Rajbiraj district, and his 20-year-old wife Nirmala Khanal were found dead in their room.

The couple might have consumed poison as two bottles of Celphos, a fumigant used for the control of a wide range of field rodents and insect pests that are found in stored commodities, were found in the room, according to preliminary investigation by the police.
A team of police from the Metropolitan Police Range, Satdobato, is further investigating the case.
