KATHMANDU August 16: A couple was found dead in a hotel in Butwal on Tuesday morning.

The couple - a young woman and man - was found dead inside a room of Karikote Hotel at Tinau Phulbari Chowk,Butwal. Last Sunday, Sitaram Bhujel, 35, a resident of Dhading, and a woman, 25, whose identity was not disclosed, were found dead in the hotel room.


According to Santosh Ghimire, police inspector at the Area Police Office, Butwal, the girl was found dead on the bed of the room, while the young man was found hanging from the ceiling fan. Police have found preliminary information that the girl's husband is abroad and she was missing for a month. Ghimire said further investigation is underway.


Ghimire said that it was suspected that the man might have killed her and committed suicide because blood was seen on the bed sheet and table. Their bodies have now been sent to Lumbini Provincial Hospital Butwal for post-mortem and the police said that further investigation into the case is underway.
