HLPC meeting inconclusive

KATHMANDU, June 9: A meeting of the High Level Political Committee (HLPC) ended inconclusively after the leaders stuck to their earlier stances at the International Convention Center (ICC) in New Baneshwor, on Sunday.



The top brass of UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and United Democratic Madhesi Front were present in the meeting. The leaders have differences over issues including the threshold under proportional electoral system, CA downsizing and eligibility of candidate in the new Constituent Assembly elections.
