KATHMANDU, April 19: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport (MoPIT) has prepared a draft of the National Road Safety Act, 2081 BS, which mandates that in the event of a road accident anywhere in the country, the injured must be rescued within one hour and transported to the nearest healthcare facility.

KATHMANDU, April 11: The government has put forward a plan to illuminate major cities of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. As part of this initiative, plans are underway to install modern street lights along the main city streets. Additionally, modern traffic lights will be installed along busy roadways.

GORKHA, August 23: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has started an investigation into the construction of a bridge where there is no road. The central office of the CIAA has started an investigation into the concrete bridge constructed over the Daraudi River in Gorkha.

KATHMANDU, August 11: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, under the federal government, passed the guideline that one should obtain at least 70 points in the practical examination (trial) of the driver's license. Earlier, Bagmati, Madhesh and Karnali Province hesitated to implement the guideline.

KATHMANDU, July 19: It has been agreed between the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management (MoPITA) and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) that the MoPITA will solve the problems that occur on the federal roads within the metropolis for the time being.
