JANAKPURDHAM, April 25: A clash occurred between police and local residents in Aurahi Rural Municipality-1 of Dhanusha on Thursday.
The clash stemmed between the two groups over the issue of love relationships between young individuals.
The dispute escalated when a group staged a demonstration by blocking the road, leading to a clash as police attempted to clear the blockade by using force.
DSP Ranjan Awale of the District Police Office, Dhanusha stated that police lobbed at least nine tear gas shells to contain the situation.
