KATHMANDU, Jan 14: The popular video-sharing website, YouTube, launched its country-specific homepage in Nepal on Tuesday.

Announcing the same on the Google Asia Pacific blog, Gautam Anand, director of Operations and Content, YouTube Asia Pacific, wrote: "YouTube is already available in Nepali, Sinhalese and Urdu, and now having country-specific homepages means we can bring you the most relevant videos in a YouTube experience tailored for you."

The localized version will provide YouTube users here with a more tailored experience to easily find videos and channels that are popular in the country, and discover more relevant local content. The access to the wide array of international content will remain unaffected.

On the same day, country-specific YouTube homepage was also launched in Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In the localized version of Nepal, the YouTube logo is embedded with 'NP.'
