Locals rescued Rabina Maharjan and took her to Kist Hospital after seeing her jumping from the third floor of his house at around 4:30 PM on Saturday. Her two children were found unconscious in their room. The police were notified of the incident shortly afterward.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shekhar Khanal, the chief of Lalitpur police, confirmed that all three individuals died while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The motive behind the killings remains unclear. SSP Khanal said, "The exact cause of death will be determined following post-mortem examinations, and further details will emerge after statements are obtained from other family members." No suicide note or other indicators were discovered at the residence.
The deceased woman lived with her husband, mother-in-law, and two children. Her husband was absent at the time of the incident. "At present, we are unable to obtain a statement from the deceased person’s husband, although we have started investigations," stated SSP Khanal.
Her husband is reportedly a 'sound system' manager for public events. The incident occurred while he was attending a program organized by Mahalaxmi Municipality on Saturday.
