UNMIN chief Landgren meets Dahal

KATHMANDU, March 3: UNMIN chief Karin Landgren met with Maoist chairman Prachanda at the latter’s residence on Wednesday.



In the meeting, they discussed integration and management of Maoist combatants, lasting peace and prosperity and political stability, besides the contemporary political issues, according to Landgren. [break]



Landgren said she hopes that the high-level political mechanism will be able to end the current political deadlock to conclude the ongoing peace process and constitution writing.



She also informed that a UN team is arriving here next week to assess Nepal’s latest political developments.
