KATHMANDU, Dec 10: CPN-UML candidate Laxman Tiwari has been elected as the member to the Provincial Assembly in Tehrathum district (A), with 11, 726 votes.
His closest rival Kedar Dhungana, a canidate of Nepali Congress, received 10,260 votes. He defeated Dhungana with a margin of 1,466 votes.

As per the latest vote count updates underway at the district headquarters Myanglung, UML candidate for the House of Representatives Bhawani Khapung is taking lead with 15, 615 votes while Sita Gurung of Nepali Congress has received 13, 546 votes.
Similarly, Bijaya Sambahamphe, candidate of Province Assembly (B) from Nepali Congress got 5,845 votes while Tejman Kandangwa of CPN-UML is taking lead with 7,808 votes.
Of the total 66,667 votes, 44, 215 were cast in the second round of provincial and parliamentary elections on December 7.
With the 27, 031 votes counted so far, 1,300 votes have been invalid.
There were 53 polling stations and 89 polling centers in the district.
