Mohan Dangi elected as new Chairman of Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The sixth general meeting of the Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj Nepal, a society of Tehrathum denizens living in the Kathmandu Valley, has unanimously elected a 21-member executive committee led by Mohan Kumar Dangi.

KATHMANDU, Sept 23: The sixth general meeting of the Tehrathum Sarokar Samaj Nepal, a society of Tehrathum denizens living in the Kathmandu Valley, has unanimously elected a 21-member executive committee led by Mohan Kumar Dangi.


Dilli Ram Dhungel has been elected as Senior Vice Chairman while Ganesh Ghimire, Chiranjivi Khatiwada and Haripati Lal Shrestha have been entrusted with the responsibilities of Vice Chairmen.


Similarly, Keshab Bhattarai and Yogendra Kurumbang have been elected unopposed as General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary respectively.

Likewise the general meeting picked Bhagiman Gurung and Birendra Kurumbang as secretaries while Ram Prasad Bimali and Ram Prasad Lakandri have been entrusted with the responsibilities of Treasure and Assistant Treasure respectively.


Similarly, those elected as members include Tikaraj Karki, Kulchand Phombo, Bikas Dhakal, Shambhu Phombo, Jagadish Bhattarai, Krishna Bhakta Gadtaula, Suman Budhathoki, Tika Sunar, Basanta Khapung and Kunti Devi Phombo.


The first meeting of the new executive committee will nominate other four members to the committee, to make it a 25-member committee.


Outgoing Chairman of Tehrathum Sorakar Samaj Bijaya Sambahamphe congratulated the newly elected body and feted them with dosalla and vermilion. Sambahamphe expressed hope that it would take the committee to a new height and sincerely devote to the concerns of Tehrathum people.


The committee will remain effective for two years.
