Two arrested for defrauding Rs 14.45 million in foreign employment scam

According to the police, the arrested are Manish Raj Khadka, 24, of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-1, Madhu Kumar Khadka, 27, and Birendra Khadka, 34, both of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-2.

KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Police arrested three people on Monday on charges of defrauding multiple individuals a total of Rs 14.45 million by promising lucrative salaries in foreign employment in the US and other countries.


According to the police, the arrested are Manish Raj Khadka, 24, of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-1, Madhu Kumar Khadka, 27, and Birendra Khadka, 34, both of Rukum West Musikot Municipality-2.

Based on the victims' complaints that they had taken Rs 14.45 million from two victims and had gone missing, the police deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested Manish Raj from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9 and Madhu Kumar and Birendra from Tokha Municipality-8.


They have been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
