KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Police have arrested three individuals for allegedly defrauding money from individuals with false promises of foreign employment.
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office (KVCIO) arrested Pritika Bastola, 22, of Nechasalyan Rural Municipality-3, Solukhumbu; Sharda Subedi, 36, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-10, Chitwan and Suraj Kadel, 25, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-4.

According to the complaint filed by the victims, Bastola was arrested for taking Rs 200,000 from one person with false promises of employment at Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while Subedi and Kadel took Rs 100,000 each from one person with false promises of employment in the United Kingdom. All three of them became out of contract with the victims following the monetary transaction.
Superintendent of Police Kaji Kumar Acharya at the KVCIO said that the trio has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal for further investigation and action.
