DHORPATAN, April 9: Karna Bahadur Bhandari, the ward chair of Tarkhola-3, Baglung, was found dead on Wednesday. His body was discovered hanging from a wooden beam near his house at around 11 am.
Local residents alerted the police after seeing his body hanging with a rope around his neck. The police arrived at the scene and removed the body, as informed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Bijay Yadav from the District Police Office, Baglung.

A police team led by Inspector Bishnu Prasad Sharma from the Tarakhola Police Post, consisting of four officers, along with seven more officers under the command of Police Officer Devaraj Kafle from the Galkot Area Police Office, have been assigned to further investigate and complete legal procedures.
Bhandari was elected as a ward chair in the 2079 local elections from the CPN (Maoist Centre).
