KATHMANDU, Dec 23: Two people have been arrested on the charge of defrauding people by promising to send them to various countries for foreign employment with attractive salaries.
Those arrested are Kishan Kumal, 28, a resident of Chyangli, Palungtar Municipality-7 in Gorkha, currently living in Greenland Chowk, Tokha, Kathmandu, and Yubak Khadka, 33, a resident of Okhre, Diprung Chuichumma Rural Municipality-2 in Khotang, currently residing in Basundhara.

Among the arrested, Kishan had collected Rs 3.35 million from four victims by promising to send them to Israel, while Khadka took Rs 250,000 from one victim by promising to send them to Malaysia, after which they both became unreachable.
Based on the complaints of the victims, the police, deployed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku, arrested Kishan from Teku, Kathmandu, on Friday, and Khadka from Ratnapark, Kathmandu, on Saturday. They have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment in Tahachal, Kathmandu, for further investigation and action.
