Woman arrested for defrauding Rs 12.3 million in Japan foreign employment scam

Police arrested Tirsana Batha Magar, 23, a resident of Baijanath Rural Municipality-5, Banke for allegedly defrauding a total amount of Rs 12.3 million, by promising to send individuals to Japan on a working visa for foreign employment. She allegedly collected Rs 1.4 to 1.5 million per person from various individuals.

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: A woman has been arrested on the charge of defrauding individuals on the pretext of sending them to Japan.


According to the press statement issued by the District Police Office, Banke, police arrested Tirsana Batha Magar, 23, a resident of Baijanath Rural Municipality-5, Banke for allegedly defrauding a total amount of Rs 12.3 million, by promising to send individuals to Japan on a working visa for foreign employment. She allegedly collected Rs 1.4 to 1.5 million per person from various individuals.

A case was registered at the Department of Foreign Employment and an arrest warrant was issued against her. A team deployed from the Area Police Office Kohalpur, Banke, has arrested her and initiated further investigation and legal proceedings.
