Two arrested on the charge of swindling 219 people out of Rs 26.8 million on the pretext of sending them to Japan

KATHMANDU, May 3: The police have arrested two individuals on the charge of defrauding Rs 28.8 million from 219 individuals on the pretext of sending them to Japan.

KATHMANDU, May 3: The police have arrested two individuals on the charge of defrauding Rs 28.8 million from 219 individuals on the pretext of sending them to Japan.


Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office on Friday disclosed the identities of Narayan Bahadur Rai alias Rajan Shrestha and Parbaraj Pandey alias Ishwari Pandey who were arrested on fraud charges.

According to the police, they swindled as many as 219 people out of a huge sum of money on the pretext of  sending them to Japan through their consultancy.
