BIRATNAGAR, Nov 19: A suspicious object resembling a bomb was found in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-3, Pushpalal Marg on Saturday morning.
After seeing a suspicious object on the side of the road around 6:25AM, the locals had informed the local police. According to DSP Deepak Shrestha, who is spokesperson at District Police Office, Morang, the wire was taken out of the red bag and wrapped in plastic from the outside and left on the side of the road.

Shrestha said that the police kept the scene safe by stopping the movement of the public and vehicles around the place where the suspicious object was found. A team of the Nepali Army (NA) personnel is going to the scene to dispose of the item.
The police said that after the arrival of the army team on the spot, it will be ascertained whether the object is a bomb or not. The police suspect that such items may have been kept to scare the voters in the House of Representative (HoR) and provincial assembly elections to be held on Sunday.
