KATHMANDU, Nov 18: A suspicious object found near the Staff College in Lalitpur was defused by a Nepali Army squad. A bomb-like object found in the liaison office of the ruling alliance this morning was defused by the Nepali Army team.
There was a pressure cooker with electrical wires connected to it and the message ‘election boycott' written on it. Superintendent of Police Sudhir Raj Shahi, the head of the Lalitpur district police complex, said that the suspicious object which was meant to instill fear in the people’s mind was neutralized by the Nepali Army.

The police concluded that the object was kept by groups active to boycott the election. Earlier, the home ministry concluded that 25 small and big groups, including the one led by Nekra Bikram Chand, were active in boycotting the elections.
