Souls of my city: Idealist idol maker

“I am the eldest son in my family. I started taking care of myself and carrying loads when I was in Grade 4. When I reached Grade 9, I had already started providing a little support to my family. Now I work as idol maker and I send some money to my family,” said Raju Tamang, 21, from Nuwakot now residing at Kanibahal, Lalitpur.

Raju has two younger brothers and two younger sisters to whom he has been providing financial support. “I enjoy making idols as this is work in art.
