KATHMANDU, May 14: A six-year-old girl who was admitted to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), Maharajgunj, has tested positive for coronavirus.

Coordinator for the COVID-19 Management Committee at TUTH, Dr. Santa Kumar Das, confirmed that the girl child hailing from Kapilvastu was found infected by the deadly virus. "She is undergoing treatment at the hospital," Das told Republica Online on Thursday morning.

The girl was brought to Kathmandu from Kapilvastu after she complained of throat pain six days ago. The hospital authorities are now preparing to seal off the hospital to stop the spread of COVID-19.
