KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal has held talks with Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
During the bilateral meeting held on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters in New York, the two ministers discussed various aspects of Nepal-Poland relations, according to Khanal’s secretariat.
Both sides exchanged views on further strengthening the growing relationship between the two countries. They also discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The ministers stressed the need to make cooperation between Nepal and Poland more effective at the United Nations and other multilateral forums.
Khanal also paid a courtesy call on Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay.
They discussed various aspects of the friendly bilateral relationship between Nepal and Bhutan, according to the foreign minister’s secretariat.
The two leaders exchanged views on further strengthening ties between their countries. They also discussed natural disasters that are becoming more frequent and intense because of climate change.
As Nepal and Bhutan are both mountainous countries, the two sides stressed the need to deepen cooperation on climate change.
